The Comfort Buddy Mission was started by a Michigan State Prisoner, Cory, after the loss of his mother in 2011. At that time, he found himself to be virtually alone after a life filled with selfishness, leaving a trail of destruction every where he went. With most of his adult life spent incarcerated, his family had distanced themselves, and friends are literally attracted by who you are. This was one of the hardest times Cory found himself to be experiencing, one of the loneliest in his life.

Cory set himself out on a mission! It was after the realization that he had never been there for anyone else that he truly understood the changes that he had to make. How could Cory expect someone to be there for him when he had never been there for anyone else? Cory wanted to start being a comfort to others. Through these changes though, Cory realized that the times in our society have also changed. We live in such a fast paced society that we sometimes miss the ones that need our attention the most. While we have more social contact, the quality of that contact has deteriorated. Notifying family members of a death via text, beginning and ending relationships through instant message, what happened to hugs and handshakes? Cory found out he was not alone in this belief and others have come along side in this mission.

The Comfort Buddy Mission is about restoring those much needed relationships. How many times do we come across someone experiencing a loss or unfortunate circumstances? We say, "I'll be praying for you" or "I'm thinking of you!" Then we leave and the person is left all alone. TCBM's goal is to put some substance back into those relationships. Think about it, we are tangible people.

Seeing the need in our communities, TCBM has created a platform that allows inside and outside members to come along side one another, creating items of hope. Together, we find those in society who are in need. Our items are given to leave a lasting reminder that the recipient is not alone and someone truly has not forgotten them. Filled with thoughts and prayers being brought by the Comfort Buddy that delivered the gift, we hope to remind our community members that WE ARE our brothers, or sisters, keepers. We are all in this together. And we hope to perpetuate a life of living a love taught by Jesus Christ.

Starting a revival from behind the razor wire fence, TCBM is about community. Leaving no one behind! While on both sides of the fence, our members hope to make an impact, being that change we all seek. This is our world, it will be what we make it!

What is a Comfort Buddy? Anyone willing to take a moment out of their day to realize the struggles of those around them. Someone willing to step in and share the burdens of those they encounter. Everyone willing to look beyond themselves sharing a moment with someone in need. Our TCBM members seek to "LIVE LOVE!" The greatest emotion and the only way to battle the woes of our world. We invite you, join the mission, become a Comfort Buddy! Live Love and make a difference!

Hello My name is Anne Skinner,
President of Lighthouse International Ministries and Founder of Hannah House.

For many years Hannah House has given out many items to those who have been hurting and in need.

When we met Cory, Founder of The Comfort Buddy Mission and
saw the wonderful work he was doing we knew without a shadow of a doubt that we had to be a part of his Ministry and also making it possible for TCBM to have an outside avenue to help others.  We have been so blessed and look forward to the future of TCBM making it possible for others to join with Cory on the inside to reach out to the Community letting them know there is Hope thru their difficulties.

We welcome Cory and TCBM as a Partner of Hannah House under the covering of Lighthouse International Ministries a 501c3 non profit organization since 2000.

We are also including a line of Fragrance Oils and creams that will be distributed to many in need.
One Scripture reminds me of Cory's work and those who take part in TCBM,  it is found in 1 Corinthians chapter 13..

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Now abideth Faith, Hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE... Help Cory, TCBM and Hannah House share Love .

We ask that you keep us in prayer as we move forward with the Love of Jesus.
